Vehicles guide
How to sell a car or bike on GoPing
Selling a vehicle online works best when buyers can quickly understand condition, history and price. GoPing’s Vehicles category helps people across India discover cars, bikes, scooters, cycles, commercial vehicles and more.
This guide walks through how to prepare your listing, what details to include, and how to handle enquiries safely so serious buyers can find you faster.
Prepare before you post
Gather the basics buyers expect: make, model, year of manufacture, fuel type, transmission, kilometres driven, ownership count, and whether the vehicle is under loan. Note any accidents, pending work, or parts recently replaced. Honest details reduce wasted calls and build trust.
Clean the vehicle and take photos in daylight — front, rear, both sides, dashboard, odometer, engine bay, tyres and any scratches. Clear photos outperform fancy filters. If you have service records or a valid PUC and insurance, mention that they are available for viewing.
Create your Vehicles listing
- Choose Vehicles and the right subcategory (Cars, Bikes, Scooters, and so on)
- Write a specific title, for example “2018 Honda City VX Petrol — Margao” instead of “Car for sale”
- Add a full description covering condition, service history, reason for sale and what is included
- Set a realistic price based on similar local listings
- Add your city and contact options so genuine buyers can reach you
- Upload several clear photos before submitting
Pricing that attracts serious buyers
Compare similar year, model and kilometre ranges in your city before fixing a price. Overpricing slows responses; underpricing can attract low-effort offers. If you are flexible, say so in the description without advertising desperation. Mention if the price is negotiable, exclusive of transfer charges, or includes accessories.
Talking to buyers safely
Prefer meeting in a public place for the first viewing. Do not share OTPs, bank credentials or full document scans over chat. For high-value deals, verify identity and complete RC transfer through proper legal channels. Never accept “advance” requests that ask you to pay fees to release funds — that is a common scam pattern.
Read our buying and connecting safely guide before you finalise any payment or handover. GoPing connects people; you remain responsible for verifying ownership papers, loan status and the buyer or seller you meet.
Documents to keep ready
- Registration certificate (RC)
- Valid insurance and PUC where applicable
- Service history or invoice copies if available
- Loan NOC if the vehicle was financed
- ID proof for transfer formalities
Show documents in person when possible. Watermarked photos of papers are safer than sending clear full scans to strangers.
